Despite launching in 2018, The Crew 2 was the most downloaded racing game on PlayStation. Impressively, it was even more popular than Gran Turismo Sport and Call of Duty: Vanguard in Europe. One reason why The Crew 2 is still incredibly popular is Ivory Tower’s outstanding post-release support.
Throughout multiple seasons, regular updates have added new cars, game modes, and challenges to keep players returning to The Crew 2's open-world recreation of America.
Available today, Season 4 Episode 2 continues The Contractor storyline with new missions, cars, and a new Motorpass.
The Crew 2 Season 4 Episode 2: The Contractor goes live
When Season 4 Episode 1 dropped in November, The Contractor game mode introduced delivery missions to The Crew 2. Missions ranged from driving taxis to chauffeuring VIPs in limousines and delivering precious cargo without causing damage. Jobs were available from three companies: Marco's Cab, Diamond Limousine and The Rocket Company.
Following the first episode's urban challenges, Episode 2 ventures off the beaten track with off-road delivery missions. During your off-road adventures, you'll take on delivery missions from two new companies. Intrepid Outdoor specialises in transporting outdoor equipment, while US Wildlife Watchers protects wildlife.
New cars
Sticking with the off-road theme, the latest monthly vehicle drop in The Crew 2 Season 4 Episode 2 lets you tear up the dirt in the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Intrepid Outdoors (Rally Raid). Joining the Silverado is the Ariel Atom (Street Race). These vehicle drops can be purchased from 19 January but more cars will be added as Episode 2 pans out.
Season 4 Episode 2 Motorpass
Accompanying The Crew 2 Season 4 Episode 2 is a new Motorpass featuring 50 tiers of free and premium awards. New cars in the Season 4 Episode 2 Motorpass include the Koenigsegg Gemera Outclassed Edition (Hypercar), Land Rover Defender V8 Works Intrepid Outdoors (Rally Raid), and Hummer H1 Alpha US Wildlife Watchers (Rally Raid).
You can also drive a custom vehicle created by developer Ivory Tower called the Creators Hunter 51. Other vanity items in the Season 4 Episode 2 Motorpass include a free Vintage Cross helmet and an Intrepid Outdoor outfit for your avatar, as well as a UFO spaceship animated rooftop and Lumberjack rooftop for vehicles.
New Live Summits
As with most updates in The Crew 2, new Live Summit events add weekly challenges. Starting on 19 January, the Misty Mountains event tests your off-road driving skills. Following this, the first Premium Live Summit launches on 26 January offering the Jaguar C-X75 Concept Lunar Year Edition (Hypercar) as a Platinum reward.

This is only the beginning, as Ubisoft promises more content drops and themed weeks will continue in Season 4 Episode 2.
Seasons 1-3 included two episodes, so this could be The Crew 2’s final update unless another season is planned. While Ubisoft and Ivory Tower hasn't confirmed if a sequel is in development, The Crew 3 could be announced at E3 2022 if this is the final update.
