Forget what you thought you knew about the festival in O'ahu. The Crew Motorfest just dropped its Season 8 update, and it's a massive shake-up. This is far more than a simple content refresh. We're getting 21 new vehicles, a true Ranked mode, deep new partnerships, and two major new playlists that are completely changing the game.
This patch digs deep, hitting the game's competitive scene, social features, and the very feel of the cars. Let's break down everything you need to know.
Playlist 1: Street Riders (Available Nov 5)

First up, it's time to head to the "Street Kitchen." This new playlist, available immediately, takes you off the polished festival grounds and deep into the underground scene of Hawaii's most daring street racers.
Hosted by Weasel D, Street Riders is all about a raw, unfiltered experience. The core of this playlist is "Free Races,” which are events with no checkpoints, no GPS, and no guidance. It's just you, the road, your instincts, and your drive to cross the finish line first. You'll have to spot the flare, find your own route, and beat the competition.
It’s all built around a local street crew called Monkey’s Kitchen (MK), who are all about their art, their music, and racing with absolutely no rules. If you're feeling confident, you can even put your money where your mouth is with "Monkey's Bets" on your own performance to snag exclusive rewards.
This playlist has 8 main events and 25 challenges, and if you conquer it, you'll drive away with a new Bimmer in the BMW M2 (Street Tier 2).
Playlist 2: BMW Motorsport (Available Jan 7)

Shifting gears from the gritty underground to legendary performance, the second new playlist arrives on January 7, 2026. This one is a pure celebration of BMW's Motorsport legacy.
This playlist is being presented with some serious authenticity. It's hosted by Marc Thiesbürger, the real-world spokesperson for BMW Group Classic. You'll explore vehicles showcased in the BMW Museum, and an in-game expert named Anna will share insights into BMW’s engineering and racing heritage.
The experience starts with a unique prologue event that spans from 1975 to 2024, followed by a chronological journey through BMW’s most iconic eras. It features 7 main events, and completing it will net you the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL Racing.
Ranked Races & Social Tools Are Here

Let's get to the big one: competitive players, your prayers have been answered. The single biggest addition in Season 8 is the new Ranked Grand Race system.
This isn't just a new playlist; it's a dedicated ranked progression system built from the ground up. This feature adds a serious layer of competition, giving dedicated racers a concrete reason to fight for every position.
The social side of the game also got a massive boost. The new "Looking for Crew" feature is a proper in-game LFG tool that lets you find other players interested in the same activity. It's a huge quality-of-life win.
Even bigger is the introduction of the Friend Pass. This allows anyone who owns the full game to invite up to three friends to play the full game for free. This is a brilliant move to get your whole crew to the island.
Customization, Partnerships, and New Cars
Car culture fanatics are eating well this season. One of the most-requested features is finally here: Branded Rims & Stance settings. The enhanced Stance & Rims Menu gives you even more ways to get your car's fitment looking perfect.
Season 8 also brings new brand collaborations, most notably with BMW. This includes the BMW M2 CS Exclusivity, making it a must-have for Bimmer fans. A new partnership with ONX has also been announced.
That Colossal Handling Overhaul

This might be the most important part of the entire patch, and it affects every single player. The dev team went back to the garage and put in a massive amount of work, revising vehicle handling "to offer a more enjoyable experience." This isn't a small tweak to a couple of meta cars. It's a comprehensive, top-to-bottom overhaul for a huge list of vehicles that may have felt left behind.
The team went brand by brand, with major revisions for Street Tier 2 Alfa Romeos, Street Tier 1 Mitsubishis, and a massive pass on BMW across Street Tiers 1, 2, and their Racing Models. The list also includes the Honda NSX '92, Porsche 911 Turbo '93, and more. If you have a favorite in that lineup, it's time to dust it off.
Housekeeping, Fixes, & Steam Deck

Let's talk about the biggest technical update: The Crew Motorfest is officially Steam Deck Verified. This is huge news for handheld players, as you can now take the O'ahu festival on the go with confidence.
Beyond that, this patch is a massive housekeeping effort.
- Xbox Series S Boost: This console gets a visual upgrade, with better render quality on shadows, reflections, and ambient lighting.
- Smarter Grand Races: The planning menu now shows the next six races, so you can actually plan your vehicle loadout instead of guessing.
- Bug Squashing: A massive number of fixes for inconvenient respawns, floating textures, and broken challenge validation have been implemented.
- New Soundtrack: A new season needs new music, and Season 8 adds over two dozen new tracks from artists like Vince Staples, KAYTRANADA, and Doechii.
Season 8 is, without a doubt, one of The Crew Motorfest's most significant updates yet. It adds a real competitive ladder, new reasons to play with friends, and a deep, noticeable refinement of the core driving. If you've been waiting for a reason to jump back in, this is it.
