After launching in 2020 as a PC exclusive, Trackmania is finally coming to consoles. Announced at the Ubisoft Forward Conference, Trackmania is launching on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Stadia, and Amazon Luna in early 2023. It will also be available on Ubisoft+ from day one.
Trackmania coming to consoles in early 2023
Like the original PC version, Trackmania will be free to play on consoles. The Trackmania console release will also offer cross-play and cross-progression.
This means returning players from the PC version can transfer game progress to their platform of choice. With cross-play support, you’ll also be able to compete with other players on any other platform.
Trackmania has a simple but addictive premise: drive across crazy tracks as fast as possible, comparing your time with the best players in online leaderboards. Getting gold on the most difficult tracks is a test of skill and precision driving - think of it like Trials with cars instead of dirt bikes.
At launch, players will be able to access 280,000 tracks created by the community since the PC version launched two years ago.
Naturally, the advanced track editor will return to consoles too, allowing players to create their own custom courses from thousands of blocks and items. The console version will feature over 150 new blocks and items along with unlockable car skins and new seasonal campaigns every three months.
Although Trackmania is free to play, there will be two optional paid subscriptions like the PC version giving access to features like the track editor, daily competitions, and online clubs. No pricing information has been announced, but a Standard Access subscription costs £8.59 a year while a one-year Club Access subscription costs £25.99.
Release date

A remake of Trackmania Nations, this will mark the first time the series has come to consoles since 2016’s underrated Trackmania Turbo.
