Group A is starting to take shape as Redline and Aston Martin have a commanding position after two races.
That leaves very little margin for error among the remaining teams if they want to make it to the V10 R-League playoffs. Both YAS Heat and R8G Esports will be hunting for their first win of the season in this crucial matchup, but who will come out on top?
Rookies after first points
R8G Esports is one of the new teams in V10 R-League this season. Romain Grosjean's outfit had a tough start against Aston Martin in Week 1, getting swept 4-0 by the green machines.
That scoreline doesn't fully reflect their pace though, as they pushed Aston all the way.
Led by star driver Erhan Jajovski, they have some strong pace waiting to be unlocked, and have surely been putting the hours in during their bye week. Nothing comes easy in the V10 R-League though, and their opponents for this match are no pushovers.
Getting the first win on the board
YAS Heat's new lineup has had a baptism of fire this year, first against Redline and then against Aston Martin. However, they have come away from each match with a point and could have had more.
Simon Weigang's final-lap error cost them a second point last week against Aston Martin, so YAS is not a long way off the pace.
Against fellow newbies in the V10 R-League, they could well be in for a first win.
Prediction
It's a hard one to read as we have so little information around R8G's pace.
YAS Heat's trio of experienced drivers are well-used to adversity, and should be able to shake off the disappointment of their first two races to compete at a high level in this one.
When it comes to tracks, both teams have raced at Monza and seem pretty comfortable at the Temple of Speed. That means that neither team is likely to veto it, leading to someone picking it!

Any team that believes itself to have a definitive pace edge has been picking Mugello this season. YAS would be the only team to potentially think down that line, otherwise expect to see Spa.
Biancolilla, Thome, and Weigang are a fearsome trio, and only a few minor errors and a little lack of teamwork has prevented them being more competitive. This match should be a chance for them to shine against a less experienced trio in Jajovski, Thomas Petitjean, and Samuel Libeert.
Prediction: YAS Heat 3-1 R8G Esports
