VELO ESERIES: Bootcamp puts the celebs through their paces for Season 3 (Sponsored)

After two entertaining seasons of the VELO ESERIES, Season 3 is on its way, pitting a trio of celebrities against you, the public!

We’ve already seen Craig David, Supercar Blondie, Archie Hamilton, and Fred Sirieix put through their paces in previous seasons. But how are the new trio of celebs preparing?

A visit to the McLaren Technology Centre saw the celebs get turned into racers thanks to the experts at McLaren Racing. Let’s take a look at how Bootcamp went, and what tips they picked up at the Masterclass!

A Bootcamp for three

Season 3 sees a Mystery Guest joining Becky Evans and Elz The Witch in the Bootcamp.

With the highly skilled reflex challenge as well as some exciting new elements to Bootcamp, the trio had their work cut out for them.

These extra challenges included customising and then racing in drift karts. Naturally, the drifting extraordinaire Becky nailed the challenge, with the Mystery Guest doing almost completely the opposite!

So, with Bootcamp complete, our eyes turned to the Masterclass.

The celebs are taking on the public on F1 2020, but what if they have never played it before? Well that’s why it’s called a Masterclass!

The esports experts from McLaren Racing were once again on-hand to help the three celebs get up to speed in the game. 

When it comes to the racing, competitors had better watch out as Becky, Elz, and our Mystery Guest will be raring and ready to race!

How to take part in Season 3

If you think you’ve got what it takes to beat the celebs despite all you’ve read so far, then here’s how you can enter!

If you are over the age of 18 then head to the official site where you can register and connect your Steam account.

LEARNING FROM THE EXPERTS: The celebs got the chance to learn from McLaren Racing's esports experts

To qualify for the show you’ll need to beat a time of 1:41.287 around the Circuit of the Americas on F1 2020 time trial, and be ready to race on 3rd April.

17 randomly selected qualifiers will then get to race against VELO’s trio. Those lucky qualifiers will also win a steering wheel set, and if you bag yourself a podium on the day, you’ll also win a new gaming console.

It’s a great challenge and an opportunity to show off your skills on the game. So, what are you waiting for?
