It's finally happening: Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5. The game will be available this Spring and set to feature crossplay across all platforms, including Xbox and PC.

The PS5 version is being developed by Panic Button, who's been working closely with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. Playground, the original developers, are currently working on a new Fable title.

The PS5 Forza Horizon 5 launch will offer the same content that Xbox and PC gamers received when it originally released in 2021. DLCs such as Car Packs, Hot Wheels, and Rally Adventure expansions will be available for individual purchase once the game is out.

Aside from that, Panic Button is developing free content for players on all platforms to enjoy: Horizon Realms. According to Playground Games, "Realms will give players the chance to explore a curated collection of some of the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, alongside some other surprises."

The community support from Forza Horizon 5 is perhaps one of the strongest aspects of the game. PlayStation 5 users will have the advantage of jumping into a very populated world filled with dozens of hours worth of content, either created by the developers or curated by community members.

Despite releasing in 2021 and not being a game that particularly focuses on its multiplayer aspect in the same way other PvP titles do, Forza Horizon 5 can still be seen among the Top 100 most-played Steam games. It currently has over 15k players at the time of writing.

Overall, over 40 million players have enjoyed the game and there's a good reason thousands still come back to it even in 2025.

Playground Games made a massive sandbox that's built like, well, a playground. You'll find interesting activities everywhere you turn, hundreds of cars to unlock, and a great depiction of Mexico's vastly different locales that offer all sorts of terrains to explore and put your driving skills to the test.

Did we mention the OST includes tracks by artists such as The Killers, Foo Fighters, Gorillaz, Odesza, Dua Lipa, and The Offspring, just to name a few?

You can wishlist Forza Horizon 5 by going to the PSN store right now.
