MotoGP 23 Japan

If you're looking to find out where to watch and stream the Japanese MotoGP 2023 round, you've come to the right place!

MotoGP continues its run of Asian rounds at the end of the season with the Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix! Round 14 of the 2023 MotoGP season takes us to Motegi for the Japanese GP.

Just like we did for the previous rounds in Argentina, the USA, Spain, France, Italy, Britain, Austria, Catalonia, San Marino and India we're showing you where to watch and stream the 2023 Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Japan is a whopping 6-8 hours ahead of Europe, so the session times could be tricky for those in Europe and the Americas. Viewers in Asia and Australasia should have it easier than normal though!

Here's everything you need to know about the 2023 Japanese MotoGP sessions.

Japan has one of the oldest Asian rounds on the MotoGP calendar, dating back to the 1960s. It's been a permanent fixture on the calendar since the late 1980s, with it originally being hosted at Suzuka.

Motegi hosted its first Japanese MotoGP in 1999 and has hosted the event every year since 2004. The Japanese love motorcycle racing and the nation is home to some of the biggest MotoGP manufacturers of all-time.

Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki all call Japan home and have won 46 Teams Championships between them. In other words, that's over half the overall titles ever.

Who are the most successful riders in the history of the Japanese MotoGP, though? Well, there are some names that you'd expect to see here.

Kevin Schwantz has the most top-level wins here with four. Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi all have a hat-trick of victories each.

Interestingly, the only other rider on the current grid that has won the Japanese GP is Jack Miller. Although, that's partly down to the race being cancelled in both 2020 and 2021.

But where can you watch and stream the Japanese MotoGP 2023? Let's find out!

USA

MotoGP coverage in the United States is on NBC. Unfortunately, only the Americas GP is shown live on NBC in the USA in 2023, so you'll need to catch the Japanese GP at a later time if you're based in the states

However, with the race starting at 2 am on the east coast and 11 pm on Saturday on the west coast, this isn't such a bad thing. Other sessions including the sprint race and qualifying won't be shown on TV in the USA.

The Japanese GP will be shown on CNBC at 4 pm Eastern time on Sunday 1 October.
