Will MotoGP 24 have split-screen? That's what motorbike gamers will be wondering ahead of the 2024 Motorcycle Grand Prix game's launch later this year.
The announcement of MotoGP 24 has us hyped, but will you be able to play the game in local split-screen multiplayer?
We've got everything you need to know about split-screen in MotoGP 24 right here!
Will MotoGP 24 have split screen
For those that don't know, split-screen is where you play multiplayer using the same console system and monitor. Because there will be two or more players in one of these races, the screen will be split, hence its name.
This was the most popular way to play multiplayer games around 20 years ago, but with the advent and subsequent massive growth of online multiplayer, split-screen has been slowly dying out.
Milestone's MotoGP series joined this trend, with split-screen being missed in MotoGP 18 for the first time ever. This changed in MotoGP 22, which brought back split-screen by popular demand.
If you're hoping to race with friends locally, we have good news. Milestone has confirmed that MotoGP 24 will have split-screen multiplayer at launch so you can race with friends head-to-head.
Where is split-screen available?
Split-screen isn't available in all game modes, but there are quite a few single-player options for it. We haven't had a full list through from Milestone yet, so we'll go off the MotoGP 23 list.
Time trials, quick races and custom championships all have split-screen in MotoGP 23 and this will likely be the case in MotoGP 24. So, if you have some extra controllers and want to invite your friends around for a MotoGP race, MotoGP 24 will allow you to do that.
