If you haven’t played WRC 10 yet, you have no excuse now.
As part of Microsoft’s Free Play Days lineup this week, WRC 10 is free to play for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate this weekend.
Play WRC 10 for free on Xbox this weekend
Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play WRC 10 for free until 15 May at 7.59pm BST/11:59pm PDT. Lawn Mowing Simulator is also free for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate this weekend.
All you have to do is select the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store and enter the Gold member area to access the Free Play Days collection.
For a limited time, the full version of WRC 10 is also heavily discounted on the Xbox Store with up to 75 percent off. The standard Xbox One version is currently on sale for £16.69, while the standard Xbox Series X|S version is reduced to £24.99. The WRC 10 Deluxe Edition for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is on sale for £34.99.
Originally released in September 2021, WRC 10 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the WRC. Featuring classic WRC cars and six historic rallies, a special Anniversary Mode lets you relive historic moments from the last 50 years of the WRC.
Modern WRC is also well-represented, with four new 2021 rallies: Estonia, Croatia, Belgium and Spain.
To celebrate WRC 10 joining the Free Play Days lineup, developer Kylotonn Games has added an exclusive in-game challenge for Xbox players. Running until 16 May, completing the Nacon Challenge in WRC 10 on Xbox gives players a chance to win a Revolution X Pro Controller.
Where is WRC 11?
WRC 10 featuring in Microsoft’s Free Play Days lineup could be a sign that WRC 11 is around the corner to get players excited. Normally, WRC games are announced in April, but we’re still waiting for Kylotonn to reveal WRC 11.
The sequel to WRC 10 will be Kylotonn’s last WRC game before Codemasters takes over the license for the foreseeable future. Codemasters’ first WRC game is expected to arrive in 2023.
