This month, the Nurburgring Nordschleife, one of the most notorious racetracks in the world, arrived in Assetto Corsa Competizione via the Nurburgring 24hr Pack DLC.
At the time, the DLC pack was only available on PC. Less than a month later, Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed when console players can tackle the Green Hell – and there isn’t long to wait.
Assetto Corsa Competizione Nurburgring 24hr Pack available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S next week
A post on Assetto Corsa Competizione’s X, formerly Twitter, page confirms that the Nurburgring 24hr Pack will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 2, just over one month after the initial PC release.
Pricing details have yet to be confirmed, but it should closely match the PC version. On Steam, the Nurburgring 24hr Pack retails for £9.99 / $12.99.
One of the most challenging road courses in the world, the Nordschleife sees drivers tackle 25.3 km of tarmac with over 170 corners including the famous banked corner known as the Karussell. The pack includes the 24-hour configuration of the world-famous circuit, which hosts the 24 Hours of Nurburgring endurance race.
It’s encouraging to see Assetto Corsa Competizione’s DLC release windows narrow between PC and consoles so significantly. Previously, console players had to patiently wait several months for the Challengers and American Track Packs to arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In the case of the Challengers pack, it took eight months. Now, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players have only had to wait four weeks to experience one of sim racing’s most accurate depictions of the Green Hell.
