It may now be 2022 and a month since the controversial ending to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, but Codemasters is far from done with last season.
With driver ratings influencing how fast or error-prone AI drivers are, Codies has pushed out a the latest and final driver ratings update for F1 2021 even as we look ahead to F1 2022.

Lewis finishes ahead of Max
Lewis Hamilton was on fire in the final few races of 2021 and looked like he would snatch an eighth World Drivers Championship from a generally superior Verstappen-Red Bull pairing.
While that didn't happen, Codemasters has finished F1 2021 by rating Hamilton at 94 while Max is at 93.
The difference is a five-point drop in Max's awareness, thanks to the penalty he picked up in Saudi Arabia which kept his rating at 93 despite getting +1 in the other three categories. Lewis receives just a +1 to his experience and stays at 94.
Young guns on the rise
Both Pierre Gasly and Mick Schumacher have received boosts to their stats in this update. After a hit to his rating earlier, Gasly's strong finish sees his experience and awareness have gone up, although he stays at 89 overall.
Mick has received +2 in experience and racecraft along with +3 to his awareness lifting him up to 80 overall.
