So, let's take a look at F1 2021 now, and the PC specs needed to run the latest title!

  • Processor: Intel Core i3-2130/ AMD FX-4300
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 / AMD Radeon R9 280
  • Ray Tracing: Nvidia RTX 2060 / AMD RX 6700 XT
  • Storage: 80GB
  • API: DirectX 12, DirectX Raytracing (DXR) optional
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (1709 or later, 2004 or later for ray tracing)

These are suggested by Codies. However, be warned that the company also doesn't give any expectations for performance or resolution.

With these ancient specs, chances are you'll be playing the game in a low 720p resolution with a low framerate also. Regardless, you'll be missing out on a truly immersive gameplay experience!

If you've got a bit more cash and are looking to make sure you can enjoy the game to its full extent, here's what you should be looking for:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-9600K/ AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 590
  • Ray Tracing: Nvidia RTX 3070 / AMD RX 6800
  • Storage: 80GB
  • API: DirectX 12, DirectX Raytracing (DXR) optional
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (1709 or later, 2004 or later for ray tracing)

A more powerful processor, modern graphics card and the extra 8GB of RAM make all the difference. Expect to be abel to play the game in all its intended glory!

Ray-tracing

You may have noticed a Ray Tracing section in each of the lists. Naturally, for the lower end PCs, we recommend prioritising framerate and a consistent gameplay experience over ray-tracing.

However, for those on a higher end PC, who have potentially been able to get their hands on a 30-series graphics card, ray-tracing is very much a possibility.

This is the pinnacle of gaming currently, and provides an awesomely immersive experience with incredibly lifelike lighting and shadows.
