F1 2021 Update 1.15: Custom team available for use in Grand Prix mode + AI tweaks

We weren't really expecting another patch for the current game, but F1 2021 update 1.15 is here!

Even with eyes now turning to F1 2022, Codemasters has come racing in with a fresh patch for the official Formula 1 game.

Here's what players can expect from it.

F1 2021 Update 1.15

The new patch is available on all platforms and will need to be installed before you can play the game again. Thankfully it's not too big, just 600 MB on PC.

So what's in it? Let's tackle the main points before delivering the full patch notes.

Your team in Grand Prix mode

While Codemasters hasn't added much detail to this note, it looks like your My Team car will be able to roll out of the garage in one-off races against the full grid of normal cars. Quite how this might work from a pace perspective is unknown.

HOT OFF THE PRESS: A new patch has landed for F1 2021

The base My Team car is a bit of a dog, while if you are well into season 3 or beyond you could have a pretty OP piece of machinery that streaks away from the field.

AI updates

While the AI drivers in F1 2021 are arguably the best Codemasters has produced to date they are a bit OP in certain corners. Codies has now addressed that.

Reductions to overall speed have come in Austria turn 9 (The penultimate corner), Spa turn 10 (Pouhon), and the biggest culprit of them all, Zandvoort's turn 7.

What else is coming into the game? Here's the full patch notes.
