Despite launching at the end of May, F1 24 is back in the top ten UK video game sales charts. The official Formula 1 game of the 2024 season has received a second wind thanks in part to an incredible Grand Prix last weekend.
The 2024 British Grand Prix saw Lewis Hamilton take to the top step of the podium for the first time since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. There was action up and down the order around one of F1 24's best tracks.
This real-life excitement clearly piqued the interest of Formula 1 fans around the globe and has translated into the virtual world for F1 24.
F1 24 Back into UK Sales Charts
F1 24's launch earlier this year was far from the smoothest in the series' history. The controversial handling model polarized the fanbase, but things have improved after numerous patch updates.
As reported by Push Square, the excitement around the British Grand Prix saw F1 24 return to the top ten UK sales charts. In the week ending July 6, F1 24 was the eighth best-selling game in the UK. However, it's worth noting that the UK sales charts only include physical game sales.
In the week ending June 29, F1 24 was in 31st place, so this is a huge spike in sales and popularity for the 2024 Formula 1 game. The full top ten charts are below if you're interested:

An Improvement in Fortunes
F1 24 got off to a rocky start in life with poor sales and lower review scores than its predecessors F1 23 and in particular F1 22.
With the game more accessible than ever and new updates F1 24 could retain these new players for some time to come.
