F1 Manager 2023 Update 1.6 Will Let You Switch Teams

Ask any F1 Manager player which feature they want the most, and you’re likely to hear the same answer. With the ability to switch teams missing from launch, F1 Manager 2023 Update 1.6 finally adds the ability to switch teams.

That’s not all that’s coming with the update though. Let’s check out the other new features and fixes.

F1 Manager 2023 Update 1.6 adds team switching

No doubt the highlight of Update 1.6 is the ability to switch teams. Now players can build a true F1 legacy within the same save game, moving from team to team and winning championships. This feature was expected to land in September, so it’s great to see Frontier get it out almost a month early.

Update 1.6 also addresses some major issues players have been having. Those experiencing unrealistic objectives at Mercedes, Alfa Romeo and AlphaTauri will be pleased to know that these have now been adjusted. The Mercedes board now expect third in the championship, down from second, whilst Alfa Romeo and AlphaTauri are now happy with eighth instead of seventh.

Automatic mode in qualifying has now been adjusted so drivers use commands in an ‘optimal way’, AI teams are now able to use more than one tyre compound after a mid-session save, and the widescreen UI has been fixed for players playing on wider monitors.

F1 Manager 2023 Update 1.6 is due to arrive in late August, but the release date is yet to be confirmed.
