The latest Frontier Unlocked livestream brought more updates on F1 Manager 2024 ahead of release. Along with introducing the new sponsors and driver affiliate features coming to the game, there was one other announcement that almost passed players by.
Players looking to play F1 Manager on the go were previously met with disappointment. However, F1 Manager 2024 will be able to be played on the morning commute.
F1 Manager 2024 revealed on Nintendo Switch
Right at the end of the F1 Manager 2024 section of the latest Frontier Unlocked stream saw the news that the game will be launching on Nintendo Switch. This means for the first time the series will be going portable for players.
Now fans can finish their race of attrition around Monaco, their sprint through the mountains of Austria, or their charge to victory at Spa all without missing their stop on the train to work.
Getting a game like F1 Manager 2024 to run on the Switch is a big gamble for Frontier, but if it works it can open the door to a whole new audience of players. With F1 Manager 2023 sadly underperforming last year, this is one of many steps Frontier is making to breathe new life into the series.
The full game will be available to players on the Switch. This includes the new Create a Team mode, mentality hub, sponsor features, and driver affiliates.
Frontier has promised that the Switch version of the game will have complete parity with the console and PC versions of the game, also stating that post-launch updates will also come to the Switch. This means players can tackle the latest Race Replays without being tethered to a PC or console.
Just like with the other versions of the game, F1 Manager 2024 on the Switch will be launching on July 23 and is priced at £29.99 ($34.99). The Switch port is also a digital-only release, with no plans to produce a physical cartridge edition.
At the time of writing, Frontier is yet to confirm if the Deluxe Edition of F1 Manager 2024 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. They have, however, posted a list of FAQs about the Switch version of the game on their website.
