F1 Virtual Grand Prix: Can George Russell be stopped this year?

The drivers for this year's first virtual Grand Prix have been released, and there are some big names.

As well as existing Formula One drivers, there are stars from around the world of motorsport and wider sport in general.

READY, SET, GO: Virtual Grand Prixs took off in 2020!

From Williams to Mercedes, the driver was nothing but consistent throughout and is, in my humble opinion, an F1 World Champion of the future!

He also proved this in 2020's virtual Grand Prix's, winning an incredible four of them. We wonder if, come later in the year and we end up with more virtual GPs, will he do the same on F1 2021?

Alex Albon's return

One driver in particular who will be looking to put a rain on Russell's parade is Alex Albon.

In Russell's championship winning performance last year, Albon came second. He also took a win in Brazil.

So, our money is on another series of hotly contested races between the two Formula One drivers, with no definitive prediction on who could come out on top.

Secret weapons

There are, however, some teams who are yet to announce their full lineup such as McLaren.

It remains to be seen who they will pick up. There are some heavy sim-racing hitters who could join the fray.

If McLaren choose to follow suit and continue picking up Formula One drivers like other teams, then Lando may race again.

The same goes for Aston Martin. Could we be seeing Sebastian Vettel getting involved in the virtual Grand Prix action?
