F1 22 has so many game modes to sink your teeth into, both online and offline. For those racing in multiplayer, it can be difficult to keep your concentration. One way to help this though, is to automatically mute players.

So, how do you do this? And does it work as intended? We've got everything you need to know right here!

Starting multiplayer

If you haven't given multiplayer a go in the F1 games yet, you're missing out. Online multiplayer is an experience you'll never forget in F1 22. It also gives you the opportunity to play against your friends, no matter where they are in the world.

To boot up multiplayer, head over to the multiplayer menu on the right-hand side of the home screen. To start an open lobby, go to the Social Play option and then choose your preferred lobby.

If you're starting out, just go for the Beginner Friendly option. The game will then find a session to join.

Automute settings

Once you've found a lobby to join, go down to the Settings Menu. Then go to the Audio Settings. Scroll down to the Multiplayer submenu near the bottom of the screen and select "Mute by default".

Turning that to "Off" will prevent players' mics from sounding on your display.

Another option would be to turn the voice chat down to 0, but either option works the same in this situation.
