Ferrari reveals new yellow livery for the Italian Grand Prix
Update: EA has teased a possible 31 August release date for the Ferrari Italian GP Livery in F1 23 on social media. It looks like players will get to race with the special livery just in time for this weekend's Italian Grand Prix.
With F1 heading to Monza this weekend, Ferrari has unveiled a special livery for the Italian Grand Prix. Adding a splash of yellow and black to the famous Ferrari red, this livery was created to commemorate Ferrari’s victory in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
2023 saw Ferrari claim their first win at the famous race since 1965, with former Formula 1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi forming part of the winning team.
Along with the new car livery, drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will wear special racing overalls to celebrate the historic win. New Ferrari liveries can be somewhat divisive, but this celebration livery has won over the Tifosi despite 2023 being a difficult season for Ferrari.
So, will this Ferrari livery be coming to F1 23?
Will the Ferrari Italian Grand Prix livery be coming to F1 23?
So far this year, every Formula 1 limited edition livery has been added to F1 23, from the Williams 800th Race Livery to the McLaren Chrome Livery.
What’s interesting about the Ferrari Italian Grand Prix livery is the fact Ferrari appeared to use F1 23 to reveal the new look cars on social media. This is the first time F1 23 has been used to unveil a new livery, suggesting the livery is already ready to go in the game.
It's probably a matter of when, not if, the livery will be released. With Update 1.10 bringing back Daniel Ricciardo to the series this week, it’s unlikely the Ferrari livery will arrive before the Italian Grand Prix.
The livery will likely come to F1 23 next week. With confirmation that the Charles Leclerc Pro Challenge will be available to play from 5 September, the Ferrari livery may be available simultaneously.
It’s also possible that the Ferrari livery will be the reward for completing the Leclerc Pro Challenge, although this hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing.
