Forza Horizon 5: How to buy a Player House

Buying a house isn't easy, that's a sad reality of life. However, thankfully, in Forza Horizon 5, it's a lot easier. There are seven houses that are available for players to buy dotted around Horizon's 5's map. So, let's get into where this real estate is and how you purchase them in-game.

The magnificent seven

There are seven houses to own in Horizon 5, so let's not waste any time getting into them. First up is Casa Bella, the first house in the game and the only that is totally free for everybody. Casa Bella is located in the town of Mulege, one that Ramiro will guide you to early in the game's story.

FAR AND WIDE: The houses in Horizon 5 are all over the Mexican map

La Casa Solariega is one of the more expensive houses in FH5, but it can be free if you have the VIP Membership DLC. This mansion is found near the ruins of Teotihuacán but will show on the map after earning Casa Bella.

Lugar Tranqullo is another property that can be free with a DLC, this time the Welcome Pack DLC. Found in the town of Playa Azul, this house will make itself known after earning Casa Bella. Deep in the jungle and near the ruins of Ek' Balam is Buena Esperanza, house number four.

La Cabaña is the cheapest house you can buy in FH5 and is found on the west coast of the map. Buenas Vistas is also located on the west coast, but comes at a hefty cost on the credits. Finally, Hotel Castillo is the most expensive property on the map and is found north of Tierra Prospera.

How to buy a house

Fortunately, there's no need to get a mortgage nor show your proof of earnings in Forza. You just need enough cold, hard credits and you're good to go. Having enough credit though, isn't as easy as you might be hoping. Here are the pricings:

  • Casa Bella - Free
  • La Cabaña - 150,000
  • Lugar Tranquillo - 700,000 (Free with Welcome Pack DLC)
  • Buena Esperanza - 700,000
  • La Casa Solariega - 1.5 million (Free with VIP Membership DLC)
  • Buenas Vistas - 2 million
  • Hotel Castillo - 5 million

NOT CHEAP: These houses are as pricey as some of the most expensive cars in Horizon 5

There is a way around this though, if you have the VIP Membership and Welcome Pack in Horizon 5. This will take the overall cost of all the properties down from ten million to just under eight million, and you'll get two of them for free. However, playing the game and enjoying yourself will literally open the doors to these houses over time, so why rush?

So, how do you actually buy these houses? Well, it's very simple. All you have to do is find them on the map, drive over to them and a cut-scene will play. If you have the funds, can buy the house through this menu. All will be revealed as you play through the game, so there's no need to force the issue at the start of the story.

If you want to know which player house you should opt for first, we've got you covered with this guide.
