Unlock times revealed
With the release now hours away, Playground Games has unveiled the times you can jump into the festival around the world.
Thanks to this staggered unlock rollout you can play Forza Horizon 5 right now, it does come with a risk though.
Forza Horizon 5 release date
The new festival of racing kicks off on 9 November.
Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC there are plenty of ways to play Forza Horizon 5. You can even play it earlier than the advertised release date...
Early access and demo
Those that can't wait to head to the brand new location for the Horizon festival can start their adventure from 5 November.
That's the earliest we'll get to play, as there will be no demo for Forza Horizon 5.
The Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 5 comes with four days early access, giving players that buy it plenty of time to find their way around the new map before everyone else!
PRE-ORDER FORZA HORIZON 5 PREMIUM EDITION
Xbox Game Pass
As with most Microsoft-exclusive titles these days, Forza Horizon 5 will be on Game Pass Ultimate.
Landing as a day 1 title, that means it will be free to play for Game Pass subscribers from 9 November! Of course, if you choose to experience the game through Game Pass you will be missing out on some of the benefits that come from buying the game outright. You'll also lose access to it if you cancel your subscription or the game is removed from Game Pass at any point.
While that is a great deal, there is plenty of reason to buy the game, especially if you want a few extras...
Editions
There are three editions of Forza Horizon 5. Let's see what you get with each one...
Standard Edition
Coming in at £54.99, this one is just what it sounds... Standard.
You get the base game and that's it. Depending on where you pre-order you might be able to get a few bonuses, but from the Microsoft Store there is nothing extra even for a pre-order.
Deluxe Edition
For the price of £69.99 you get the game as well as the Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass.
That Car Pass will deliver 50 cars to players spread out over time. You'll get 8 Formula Drift Cars to get started, and then one car per week added to your garage.
Premium Edition
The £84.99 price tag is a big one, but you get a lot with it.
On top of the game and the Car Pass you get the four days early access we already mentioned and plenty more. You get the Forza Horizon 5 Welcome Pack which includes 5 special pre-tuned cars, a Player House, and 1 one-time voucher to purchase any car available from the game’s Autoshow. Also included are 3 vouchers for the purchase of any Common or Rare clothing item.
