Does Gran Turismo 7 have third person?

Gran Turismo 7 is finally here, and it’s a significant improvement over GT Sport. You can change the camera view in GT7 to suit your experience, but does Gran Turismo 7 have third person? We have the answer right here.

Does Gran Turismo 7 have third person?

Yes, Gran Turismo 7 has a third-person camera. During a race, pressing the R1 button will cycle through the different camera views.

GT7's third-person camera is positioned behind the car. This gives you a better view of the track when preparing for corners. It also gives you a better view of competitor cars around you, making it easier to block opponents attempting to overtake.

Since Pole Position arrived in the early 1980s, the third-person perspective is an established camera view in racing games. Every Gran Turismo game has had a third-person camera view, and GT7 is no different.

What other views are available?

Third-person isn’t the only camera view available in GT7, however. By pressing R1, you can cycle between the cockpit, bumper, and bonnet camera.

The cockpit camera puts you inside the car, letting you race from the driver’s perspective. This is the most realistic and immersive way to play Gran Turismo, but it’s also the most challenging.

The bumper and bonnet cameras, on the other hand, provide a better sense of speed as the camera is mounted lower. You can also configure the control settings if you want to change the camera view button.
