Ever since the PlayStation Showcase gave us a good look at Gran Turismo 7, we can finally start thinking about pre-ordering the next GT ahead of its release date.

The PlayStation Store has officially listed the standard GT7 for pre-order, along with an awesome 25th Anniversary Edition. There are also a host of other retailers in the UK that now have the game stocked. So, let's take a look at Gran Turismo 7 pre-orders right now!

Gran Turismo 7 pre-orders are live!

The PlayStation Store website has a page dedicated to Gran Turismo 7 and is now taking digital pre-orders.

The page has a long description of the game, including details like the 420 plus cars that will feature and over 90 tracks being in the game.

Pre-order prices are standard across the board and you can also purchase the game from other retailers like Smyths, Argos and Amazon in the UK. Retailers will vary depending on the country you're in, so make sure you do your research. Let's dive into what you get in each version though.

Gran Turismo 7 25th Anniversary Edition

The biggest edition of Gran Turismo 7 is the 25th Anniversary Edition.

Coming in at £89.99/$89.99 it's not cheap, but you get a lot for your money. Along with a physical steelbook and PS5 disc you get 1,100,000 in-game credits, the offical soundtrack, a Toyota GR Yaris, 30 PSN avatars and a three-car pack that features the epic Castrol Tom's Supra GT500 '97 along with the Porsche 917 Living Legend, and Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept.

This bundle also contains a digital download code for a PS4 version of the game, making it perfect for owners of either console.

Standard Edition

As you would expect with a game releasing on two generations of console, there are two Standard Editions of GT7 as well.

The PS5 Standard Edition comes in at £69.99/$69.99 with only the game. The PS4 version is £59.99/$59.99 and likewise contains nothing but the basic game unless you pre-order!

If you pre-order the Standard Edition of GT7 you'll get 100,000 in-game credits and the three-car pack from the Anniversary Edition, which means that Supra can still be yours!

You can upgrade after purchase from PS4 to the PS5 version, so you don't have to worry about buying it twice! You just have to pay the £10/$10 upgrade fee.

These prices are rather eye-watering for players that are used to dropping £55/$55 for a game. We've known for a while that the price of the next Gran Turismo title would be a jump, it's just still a shock to the system to see.

It's a heavy step up, but physical pre-orders are not yet listed on places like Amazon and GAME. Those are likely to come in slightly cheaper.

Release date

The PlayStation Showcase revealed the release date for the game as well. However, the day falls much sooner than we initially thought.

This date is March 4, 2022. We had originally predicted a September 2022 release given the various delays that we had seen over the course of 2020 and 2021.

However, with the game just under 6 months away, we're now already far too hyped for the release and can't wait to jump in.
