Gran Turismo 7 PS4: New info leaks about GT7 on PlayStation 4

Gran Turismo 7 is set to be one of the biggest racing games of 2022. Here in the RacingGames virtual office, we're hyped to say the least, because the game looks incredible.

That excitement isn't limited to just those that have the next-gen consoles either. This is because GT7 is also being launched simultaneously on both the PlayStation 4 and 5.

So, with the PS4 version confirmed, how will it be different, if at all? Let's take a look at it now!

Latest news - GT7 a two-disc title for PS4

As expected, Gran Turismo 7 is going to be a chunky game. With a minimum file size of 110 GB on the PS4, the game will take up a lot of hard drive space for players.

That's not all though, as the boxed game will come with two discs, so be ready for a switch over during installing!

State Of Play 2022

With around a month to go until GT7's release date, we were always going to get some more reveals before the big day in March arrives. Sony revealed there would be a State of Play presentation at the start of February and they didn't disappoint.

The 32-minute presentation was hosted by GT's creator and Polyphony CEO Kazunori Yamauchi and it revealed a lot about GT7. Everything from the total car count, circuit numbers, weather effects and technical aspects like the audio got a mention.

There was simply too much to list here, but our YouTube channel has you covered with a rundown of all the main talking points:

Gran Turismo 7 on PS4

The latest Gran Turismo title is coming to the PlayStation 4, and we're incredibly happy that it is. Supply shortages have afflicted the PlayStation 5 ever since its launch, with many gamers still unable to get a next-gen system.

The title will cost £59.99 for those looking to purchase it solely on PS4. Following this, you can then upgrade for £10 if you manage to get your hands on the PS5.

If you want one of the special anniversary editions, you'll need to own a PS5, as these aren't available on PS4.

Could GT7 be held back?

This has been on everyone's minds since the announcement of the game coming to both platforms. Naturally, there will be some differences.

However, Kazunori Yamauchi had some positive words for us all in a recent interview. Other than the inevitable faster loading times on the PS5, there shouldn't be many noticeable differences.

There are a number of steps that the team has taken to optimise the title on PS4 without sacrificing visual fidelity or framerate. We'll see what happens when the game launches. Something that will be uniform throughout though is the level of content when it comes to tracks and cars, PS4 gamers won't miss out.

Gran Turismo 7 release date

We now know that Gran Turismo 7 will be with us early next year, on March 4, 2022.

This is exciting news for all Gran Turismo fans, who had prepared themselves for a release date as late as September of next year. Now, we've got just 1 month to find ourselves a PS5... Any help, anyone?
