There's less than three months to go until Gran Turismo 7 launches and we're hyped! The Real Driving Simulator will be getting its first title on the next-gen PlayStation in March 2022.
For those that are lucky enough to have gotten a PlayStation 5, this will be a fantastic game for your collection. GT7 will also launch on PS4 as well, so check out our piece on that version if you haven't already.
Here's everything we know about GT7 on PS5!
State Of Play 2022
With around a month to go until GT7's release date, we were always going to get some more reveals before the big day in March arrives. Sony revealed there would be a State of Play presentation at the start of February and they didn't disappoint.
The 32-minute presentation was hosted by GT's creator and Polyphony CEO Kazunori Yamauchi and it revealed a lot about GT7. Everything from the total car count, circuit numbers, weather effects and technical aspects like the audio got a mention.
There was simply too much to list here, but our YouTube channel has you covered with a rundown of all the main talking points:

Gran Turismo 7 PS5
Gran Turismo 7 was originally confirmed as a PS5 exclusive in the Summer of 2020. GT7 was revealed alongside the PlayStation 5 console itself, but it didn't launch alongside the new system. Instead, multiple delays have occured, but we've now got a concrete release date.
Because of the scarcity of PS5's, GT7 will also be launched on PS4 at the same time.
GT7 will set you back £69.99 to pre-order in the UK.
There is a 25-year anniversary edition that's available as well for GT7. This costs slightly more at £89.99, but also includes a PS4 version of the game and comes in a steelbook case.
Could GT7 be held back?
This has been on everyone’s minds since the announcement of the game coming to both platforms. Naturally, there will be some differences between the two console versions, but in terms of features, even the PS4 has them all.
Kazunori Yamauchi had some positive words for us all in a recent interview. Other than the inevitable faster loading times on the PS5, there shouldn’t be too many noticeable differences.
There are a number of steps that the team has taken to optimise the title on PS4 without sacrificing visual fidelity or framerate. We’ll see what happens when the game launches.
Gran Turismo 7 release date
Gran Turismo 7 will be with us early next year, on March 4, 2022. After multiple delays, this shouldn't change, as GT7 has received a rating in Australia. This tells us the game is all-but finished, as it can't have been reviewed if it wasn't complete.
