Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.46 Out Now, Adds 3 New Cars

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.46 Out Now, Adds 3 New Cars

After yesterday’s unveiling of the Skoda Vision GT, Gran Turismo 7 update 1.46 has arrived. Along with the Skoda Vision GT, April’s update brings an electric concept, a classic American muscle car, a new Menu Book, new World Circuit events, and another Scape location.

New cars

Headlining update 1.46 is the new Skoda Vision GT electric concept, unveiled at an event in Prague last night.

Inspired by the historic 1100 OHC two-seater sports car while incorporating elements from Skoda’s current design language, the Skoda Vision GT features two 200 kW (268 hp) electric twin motors delivering a combined output of 800 kW (1,071 hp) and all-wheel drive. It’s available to buy in Skoda’s Brand Central dealership.

This marks Skoda’s Gran Turismo debut, but the manufacturer hasn’t hinted if other production models will be added to Gran Turismo 7 in the future.

The Skoda Vision GT isn’t the only new car in update 1.46. Also included is the 2024 Afeela Prototype, inspired by Sony’s Vision-S concept. Packing two electric motors producing a combined 241 hp, the 2024 Afeela Prototype has been added to players’ garages as a free gift.

Returning to Gran Turismo for the first time since GT6, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Sport Coupe is the third and final car in update 1.46. Powered by a 449-hp 7.4-liter V8, this classic American muscle car is only available for a limited time at the Legend Car dealership.

New Menu Book, World Circuits events, and engine swaps

In addition to the new cars, update 1.46 also includes a new GT Café Menu Book, three World Circuits events, a new San Diego Scape location, and engine swaps for cars including the Bugatti Veyron Gr.4, Honda NSX Gr.4, and Lexus LC500 '17.

While we’re glad Polyphony still supports GT7 with free updates over two years after launch, we’re long overdue for some new tracks. We haven’t had a new track since the Lake Louise snow circuit was added in the Spec II update last November. Before that, Grand Valley Highway was added last February, so it’s been over a year since we’ve had a new asphalt circuit to race on.
