Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges January Week 3

Week three of January’s Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges brings a fresh set of races to tackle and rewards to win.

There’s no Special Event this week sadly, but the final high-stakes event featuring Super Formula cars makes up for it. Here's what you can expect in week three of the Gran Turismo 7 January Weekly Challenges.

GT7 Weekly Challenges January Week 3

GT7’s Weekly Challenges update at midnight local time on Wednesday evenings or Thursday mornings depending on your time zone. You need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie to access them.

This week’s GT7 Weekly Challenges start on 18 January at midnight local time and end on 25 January at the same time.

European Sunday Cup 400

Alsace – Test Course Reverse - 3 laps

The first challenge is a leisurely three-lap beginner’s race around Alsacewith eight cars on the grid. You’ll need a European road car for this event, and while there is a suggested 450 PP cap, it’s not mandatory, so you can enter any car that’s eligible, even if it’s overpowered.

As is normally the case with Sunday Cup events, payouts are low, with a measly 7,000 credits on offer for taking first place.

American Clubman Cup 700

Mount Panorama – 5 laps

The penultimate event is a challenging one. This five-lap race around the twisty Mount Panorama circuit requires an American road car with a suggested 700 PP rating, so you’ll be facing some tough opponents.

This PP rating isn’t mandatory though, so you can enter a faster car to blitz the competition and take the first-place 94,000 credit prize.

Super Formula

Watkins Glen – 12 laps

The final event stars the Super Formula racecar in a gruelling 12-lap race at Watkins Glen. Be aware of the strict tyre wear and fuel consumption rates of 8x and 4x respectively, with a lucrative 160,000 credits available for pole position. This event is locked until you reach Collector Level 31 and start Menu Book 47, which requires you to buy a Super Formula car for one million credits.

For this week’s bonus rewards, you can get a 100,000 credit ticket for completing one event and a 200,000 credit ticket for completing three. Complete all five events, and you’ll get a Six-Star Car Roulette Ticket for a chance to win a rare car.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Polyphony to announce the next GT7 update, which is expected to arrive next Thursday going on past update release patterns. If GT7’s next update is coming next week, we should get a car teaser from Kazunori this weekend.

We already know one car planned for the update though, as Polyphony has already confirmed the Genesis Vision GT Concept is heading to GT7 in January.
