Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges January 2024 Week 4

Alongside Gran Turismo 7’s first major update of 2024, a new set of Weekly Challenges has arrived. There’s a lucrative cash prize for completing all five events this week, along with a new Special Event to complete.

Here’s what you can expect in week four of Gran Turismo 7’s January Weekl Challenges.

GT7 Weekly Challenges January 2024 Week 4

GT7’s Weekly Challenges update at midnight local time on Wednesday evenings or Thursday mornings depending on your time zone. You need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie to access them.

This week’s GT7 Weekly Challenges start on 25 January at midnight local time and end on 1 February at the same time.

Sunday Cup Classic

Goodwood Motor Circuit - 2 laps

The first challenge is a casual two-lap race at Goodwood Motor Circuit with a grid of classic cars. A 350 PP cap is suggested to keep the competition evenly matched but is not mandatory, so you can enter any car as long as it’s a road car. A paltry 5,000 credits is the prize for victory in this low-stakes race.

The Silvia Sisters

Deep Forest Raceway Reverse – 3 laps

The next race takes us to Deep Forest Raceway for a three-lap race. Themed around the spiritual successors of the Nissan Silvia S13, you’ll need to own one of the following cars to enter this event:

  • 1986 Nissan Silvia Q’s S13
  • 1990 Nissan K’s Dia Selection S13
  • 1994 Nissan Silvia K’s Type S S14
  • 1996 Nissan Silvia K’s Aero S14
  • 2002 Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero S15
  • 1996 Nissan 180X Type X
  • 1998 Nissan Sileighty

This isn’t the only restriction. You also need to start Menu Book 45 to unlock this event, but you don’t need to complete it. There are no PP restrictions, but 550 PP is suggested. You’ll be rewarded 45,000 credits for taking the win.

Race of the Turbo Sports Cars

Grand Valley – Highway 1 Reverse – 5aps

The next race sees you burn rubber in a field of turbo cars at Grand Valley. This is a four-lapper with 16 cars on the grid. Unlike the first two events, there’s a 700 PP cap and only turbocharged cars are eligible. With 90,000 credits up for grabs, this is a lucrative race.

Special Event – Civic Type R (EK) – One Make

Brand Hatch Grand Prix Circuit – 5 laps

A new Special Event awaits GT7 players this week. As the name implies, this is a one-make race starring the sixth-generation Honda Civic Type R. Three cars are eligible for this event: the 1997 and 1998 Honda Civic Type R EK and the Honda Civic Type R EK Touring Car, with a 78,000 credit prize for victory.

World Touring Car 800

Tokyo Expressway – East Clockwise – 10 laps

The fifth and final challenge ups the ante. You’ll be racing in 800-PP class GT cars for ten laps around the tight Tokyo Expressway street circuit. Fuel consumption and tyre wear rates at 7x and 10x, respectively, add to the challenge. If you’re up for the challenge, finishing in pole position will earn you a whopping 200,000 credits.

As for this week’s bonus rewards, you can win a 100,000 credit ticket for completing one event, a 150,000 credit ticket for three events, and a 500,000 credit ticket for five events. You also only need to finish in third place or higher in each event to qualify. If you’re low on cash, this is a good chance to boost your credit balance.

Accompanying the new Weekly Challenges is Gran Turismo 7’s first major update of 2024. The first update since Spec II landed in November, update 1.42 brings three new cars along with new Menu Books, events, and Scape locations. You can find out more in the full patch notes.
