We're getting incredibly excited for Gran Turismo 7 here at RacingGames, especially considering the release date is now here.
However, the awesome Gran Turismo Sport is still receiving updates despite only having 6 months left in its official life cycle.
So, let's take a look at this GT Sport update now, and what it could mean for GT7!
The latest update for Gran Turismo Sport dropped earlier today and came as a bit of a surprise. The game has received 4 updates this year, 2 of which are in the last month!
This update comes in at a whopping 122.7MB, which isn't that much at all. However, as is always the case with a PlayStation update, it's the copying files that will extend the time needed to complete it.
The update claims to have "improved connection stability". Naturally, for the all-online experience that is GT Sport, this is highly important. But, what could it mean for Gran Turismo 7?
Gran Turismo 7 connection
Crucially, Gran Turismo 7 will do all that GT Sport, but with improved "usability and network reliability".
The general consensus at the moment is that this update could be a way for PD to test out this improved connection reliability before the next game's release.
Either way, it will be a useful tool for those still sinking hours into the game hosting leagues or racing with buddies. There will also probably be some other small changes that are as yet unknown!
