How to get safety cars in Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 features hundreds of cars from a multitude of manufacturers. Thanks to GT7’s improved physics engine, every one of them is a joy to drive. Unusually in a racing game, you can also drive safety cars in GT7. Here’s how to get safety cars in Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo 7 safety cars

There are six safety cars in Gran Turismo 7. Each safety car is a variant of an existing model. For example, the BMW M4 Safety Car is based on the road-going M4 production car. Each safety car also features working flashing lights, adding to the realism.

How to get safety cars in Gran Turismo 7

Before you can buy a safety car in Gran Turismo 7, you need to unlock Brand Central. This location contains dealerships where you can buy new cars, including safety cars. To unlock Brand Central, complete Menu Book 4 at the GT Café. Once completed, Brand Central will appear on the World Map.

To buy get a safety car in GT7, visit Brand Central and go to the appropriate dealership. For example, to get the BMW M4 Safety Car, go to Europe > BMW. Use the d-pad or left analogue stick to select the BMW M4 Safety Car and press Cross to buy it.

Safety Cars in GT7 are not cheap. The cheapest safety car is the Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy Safety Car, which costs 50,000 credits. At 200,000 credits, the most expensive is the Mercedes-AMG GT Safety Car – it will take time before you can earn enough credits to afford it.

As a bonus, buying your first safety car will unlock the “Safety First” trophy. So, if you want that Gran Turismo 7 Platinum trophy, you’ll need to buy a safety car.
