How to sell cars in Gran Turismo 7

It’s been one of the most requested features since Gran Turismo 7 launched back in March, and now Update 1.26 has finally added the ability to sell cars from your garage.

This is a great way of earning extra credits outside of events, making it easier to save up to buy your dream cars. It’s also an easy way of removing unwanted duplicate prize cars. Here’s how to sell cars in Gran Turismo 7.

Despite pre-release materials saying otherwise, it was not possible to sell cars in Gran Turismo 7 at launch. This was a sore point for players as Gran Turismo Sport let you sell cars.

In April, Kazunoari promised this option will come in a future update. Seven months later, Update 1.26 has finally added the ability to sell cars in Gran Turismo 7. Better late than never.

There is a caveat, though. Before you can sell cars, you need to complete all 39 GT Café Menu Books. This doesn’t include the extra Menu Books added in post-release updates.

Once you’ve completed GT Café Menu Book No. 39 World GT Series and watched the end credits, you can sell cars. To do this, head to the Used Cars dealership and select the "Car Valuation Service" button in the top right of the screen.

From here, you can view the resale value of every car you own in your garage. As in real life, some cars depreciate in value while others appreciate over time. In GT7, a car’s resale value is determined by its body and tuning value. So if you’ve installed a lot of upgrades, expect your car to sell for a lower value. Likewise, cars with higher mileages have a lower body value.

Usefully, the Car Valuation screen also shows if you have any duplicate cars, indicated by a number next to the car.

To sell a car, select the car you want to sell in the menu, press Appraise, and then select sell. You can’t undo this, so sell your cars wisely!
