Mario Kart Tour is an awesome game, and one with a variety of ways to play, not just multiplayer awesomeness and frequent new content.
One of these ways to play is through the various characters which you can unlock while progressing through the game.

Characters in Mario Kart Tour
There are a huge number of characters in Mario Kart Tour, although many of them are different variants of a character we all know.
The base characters are the normal crew, including:
- Mario
- Luigi
- Peach
- Koopa Troopa
- Shy Guy
- Dry Bones
- Yoshi
- Daisy
- Toad
- Toadette
- Rosalina
- Bowser
- Donkey Kong
- Diddy Kong
There are other minor characters that have been added, but the main roster is as above. There are then, of course, the many variants of the characters.
How to unlock them
To unlock new characters you have to pull down a pipe in the main screen of the game, with a random character obtained.
These are separated into different levels of rarity, Normal, Super, and High-end.
Normal characters have a 5% drop chance, Super has a 1% chance of dropping and finally, High-end characters appear with just a 0.3% chance.
New Tour
The new tour landed on 7 April and lasts until April 20th for all players of the game. This means there are two weeks for you to get playing, complete the challenges, and earn some big rewards.
This Tour, there are 255 total Grand Stars to collect in order to earn all the prizes, you’ll need to make sure you get racing.
This time, the Gold Pass offers some exciting incentives also, including 1,100 coins, 30 rubies, and 15 total item tickets over the free rewards.
