Disney Speedstorm is being released later this year, but will it come to Switch? The upcoming arcade racer has been confirmed for PC, PlayStation and Xbox, but what about Nintendo's console?
We've got everything you need to know right here!
Disney Speedstorm Switch
Disney Speedstorm has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch! Sometimes, games release later on, on the Switch or not at all, but this isn't the case for Speedstorm.
We don't yet have an official release date for Speedstorm, but pre-orders for early access are available now. Early access is available from 18th April, with three Founders Packs to choose from.
As for what the game will look like on Switch, it'll be in full 1080p HD and 30 fps on your TV and up to 720p on the OLED display screen on the console itself.
The elephant in the room
When it comes to great kart racing games, one franchise jumps to the forefront of your mind. Mario Kart is an institution when it comes to arcade racers on Nintendo's consoles.
Gameloft are most likely trying to exploit a gap in the market when it comes to this specific genre of arcade racer on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. However, Switch has a well-established series already.
So, with the demand for Speedstorm on Switch much lower than on the other systems, it isn't certain how well it will sell. The sales figures will be an interesting one for sure, but it could work out for them.
