The expedition has begun in Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, but players still have questions about the game. One of the most asked is whether or not you can hop from console to console and enjoy the same save. So is Expeditions: A MudRunner Game cross-platform?

Tackling the terrain

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game hands you the keys to a fleet of all-terrain vehicles, with the goal being to lead a scientific convoy across a wide variety of terrain. From dry, arid deserts, to rocky mountains, and even dense forests, plenty of challenges are ahead of your expedition.

Along with your garage of vehicles, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game also equips you with a drone to scour the route ahead, as well as an echo scanner to scan the depth of any bodies of water in your way.

You’re not just tasked with driving the expedition, however. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game also makes you responsible for building your own base of operations, as well as using earned skill points to upgrade the base. These upgrades can be spent on more research staff, or just building new structures to maintain your fleet.

There’s a lot to do in Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, but with many players these days splitting their time across multiple platforms, can players carry their saves over to whichever platform they play on?

Is Expeditions: A MudRunner Game cross-platform?

Before release, Saber Interactive, the developers of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, hosted an FAQ about the game. One of the questions answered was about whether the game implements cross-saving, and it’s good news for platform hoppers.

Happily, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game does support cross platform-saves. This means players can save their progress on one platform, before loading it up again on another. Now, players don’t have to stick to the same console in order to be able to enjoy the game.

With co-op multiplayer being added to the game in a future update, it's not yet known Expeditions: A MudRunner Game will support cross-platform multiplayer (crossplay). For now, though, at least players can split their time in the expedition from console to console.
