Expeditions: A MudRunner Game puts you behind the wheel of an epic scientific expedition. With you at the head of the convoy, it’s up to you to get the rest of the crew safely across the potentially hazardous terrain ahead of you and to their experiment sites.

The game gives you a wide range of vehicles for the expeditions ahead, along with a range of gadgets to survey each route before heading out to make the journey a little bit easier.

Treacherous terrain, hidden obstacles, and, of course, the chance of your vehicle breaking down when you need it most make this anything but an easy expedition.

Everything about Expeditions: A MudRunner Game looks promising, but the biggest question is which platforms will the game be available on. Especially, will the game be available on PS5?

Will Expeditions: A MudRunner Game be on PS5?

For all you Sony enthusiasts out there, we have good news for you. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game will be available on PS5 from launch. This means players can take advantage of the PS5’s superior power when tacking every terrain.

Not only that, the game will also be available on PS4, so last-gen players can also join the expedition. This doesn’t hold the game back, however, with the PS4 being pushed to its limits when it comes to rendering the game.

It's important to note that there won't be any special performance modes for the console version of the game. This means the game will run the same on console as PC.

Release date and price

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is set to launch on PS5 on 5 March 2024, with early access beginning on 1 March at 10 am GMT / 11 am CET for those who preorder the Year 1 or Supreme Edition.

Three editions of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game will be available at launch. In addition to the standard edition, the Year 1 and Supreme Editions of the game come with additional perks.

The Year 1 edition includes a Year 1 Content Pass and the Cotco Canyon truck, while the Supreme Edition also includes a Pioneer Pack. Standard edition players will also get a Standard Edition will reward players with the Great Don 71 – a special cosmetic for the Don 71 SUV.

On PS5, the Standard, Year 1, and Supreme Editions are priced at £44.99 / £64.99 / £69.99 respectively via the PlayStation Store.

Preorders for both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game are open now, so get in quick before the expedition begins on 1 March 2024!
