Is Ride 5 on PS4? That's something that a lot of gamers will be asking as Ride 5 has now launched.

Ride 5 is available on multiple consoles, but is the PlayStation 4 one of them? If it is on PS4, what specs will Ride 5 be able to run with?

Is Ride 5 on PS4?

Ride 5 is available on a few different gaming console systems. These include the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC via the Steam Store. These are all next-gen consoles, so what about the last-gen systems?

Well, other motorbike games such as MotoGP 23 are available on PS4, but what about Ride 5?

Well, unfortunately for those players that haven't upgraded to next-gen yet, Ride 5 isn't available on PS4. It's the same story for Xbox One as well, as Ride 5 is a next-gen exclusive game.

Milestone most likely did this because they feel the PS4 hardware isn't powerful enough to handle Ride 5. Or at least not well enough to run at a consistent and smooth frame rate like the PS5.

Could Ride 5 be released on PS4?

While it's not uncommon for PS4 games to be remastered or upscaled to PS5, games rarely go the other way. Ride 4 was released on PS4 before later making the jump to PS5 months later.

It's not completely unheard of, as titles such as Hogwarts Legacy have been released on PS4 months after the PS5 version hit shelves. EA is also releasing Star Wars: Jedi Survivor on PS4 months after the PS5 version.

Even with that in mind though, we doubt there will be a Ride 5 PS4 version. Milestone will be too busy working on other projects such as next year's MotoGP game.

If Ride 5 is able to run on PS4, though, it could be a worthwhile investment for Milestone to make. PS5 sales are higher than ever with around 38 million sold worldwide.

That's a lot, but compared to the PS4's estimated 117 million, it's only around a third of the old-gen console.

The standard edition of Ride 5 on PS5 will set you back around £69.99 on launch day, which is standard for a new game these days.
