New Star GP Release Date and Price Confirmed

New Star GP could be one of the sleeper hits of 2024. With a unique art style hiding an authentically deep racing simulator, the game has caught the eye of many. We haven’t heard much about when we can jump in and experience the retro racer for ourselves, but now we have a release date for New Star GP.

Race to the future

New Star GP is the ultimate retro racer. Beginning in the 1980s, players can race through five decades right up to the present and beyond. 17 unique championships can be raced across 17 different circuits, both in single-player and split-screen multiplayer for up to four players.

In total, New Star GP has 176 unique events to play, ranging from time trials and checkpoint races to elimination races and even reverse circuit races. Players can also compete against a pool of 45 AI drivers in each event, adding real character every time you hit the track.

New Star GP includes different weather conditions, tyre abrasion rates, and even fuel levels, so you’ll be kept on your toes at all times despite the game’s innocent appearance. Custom championships can also be created, with full customisation options available for players who really want to finetune their racing.

Up until now, we haven’t seen a release date for New Star GP. That’s now changed, however, and it turns out we don’t have to wait long at all.

New Star GP release date revealed

For retro racing fans itching to hop into New Star GP, we have great news for you. New Star GP is set to hit the grid on 7 March 2024. That means we’re now two weeks away from release at the time of writing, so let the excitement begin!

Along with revealing the release date, developer New Star Games has also confirmed the price of the game. New Star GP will be priced at £24.99 (approximately $32) but regional pricing will apply for fans based outside the UK.

New Star GP will launch on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch on 7 March, with the game already available on PC via Steam Early Access. Preorders are now live on Xbox and Switch for players who want to hit the ground running on release day.
