MotoGP 22: Indianapolis Grand Prix Setup Guide - Indy guide, tyres, geometry, settings, & more

The standout new feature in MotoGP 22 is its Nine Career mode. Nine takes you around the world in a recreation of the 2009 MotoGP season. This includes circuits that aren't on the current calendar, such as Indianapolis.

Indy is home to the world-famous Indy 500, as well as hosting Formula 1 in the past. This is a new circuit to the MotoGP video game franchise, so you won't have a setup in your game ready.

So, here's the setup you need to win around the American circuit's famous banking.

While this configuration of Indianapolis doesn't have many high-speed corners, it does have a lot of them. While softer tyres will help your grip, they'll also get chewed up pretty quickly.

So, we've opted for a hard on the rear to help have consistent traction, as well as a medium on the front axle.

Front pre-load needs to be slightly above average at 2 to allow for better turn-in during the thick and fast corners at Indy. Oil quality is best around 3, with the front spring hardness at 4.

The front swingarm compression and extension are both ideal at 3.

On the rear, values need to be in and around default for a good compromise. The rear pre-load is slightly higher at 5, with the rest all best being tuned down to 3 each.

Vehicle geometry

Your Vehicle Geometry is best at the middle of the road values (4) for all the settings. This is to allow for a good compromise between stability and responsiveness.

Gears in general need to be low for Indy This is to ensure you get good acceleration and launch out of the slow-speed corners here. Despite the low gearing, you won't be revving out down the pit straight.

We recommend tuning all of the gears down to 3.

Brake System

The big stop into Turn 1 alone is enough to justify the strongest possible brakes around Indy. That means that 355 mm on the front and 220 mm on the rear is best.

There's plenty of grip out on the Indy surface, so your traction control can be turned down to about 2.

However, engine braking and anti-wheelie control should be turned up to 4. Aside from the start/finish straight where it's turned up to the max of 3, the engine power should be at 2.

All of these can be adjusted out on track using the HUD in the bottom-right of the screen.
