Codemasters' run with the Formula 1 license has gone from strength to strength, and now under the EA umbrella even greater things are expected.

F1 22 Miami first look

F1 22 release date announced

Codemasters has confirmed F1 22 will release on 1 July 2022. Players can also preorder the Champions Edition. As for platforms, F1 22 will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Early access

The Codemasters F1 games have offered early access through a high-level edition of the game for the last few years. F1 22 is no exception.

NEW YEAR, NEW ME: There are a fresh set of regulations coming to Formula 1 this season

Preordering the Champions Edition provides three days early access to F1 22. This will enable players to access F1 22 as early as 28 June. The Champions Edition also includes a timed-exclusive Miami-inspired content pack.

Accompanying the announcement is the first F1 22 trailer, giving us a first glimpse of Codemasters' new F1 title.

Whilst we haven't seen any gameplay yet, the atmosphere of the trailer still has us excited to see what is in store for us.

Editions

The game will launch with two editions, the Standard and Champions.

On Steam, these are showing as £49.99 and £69.99 respectively, with the Champion edition coming with:
