2022 Batmobile from The Batman coming to Rocket League

Rocket League is no stranger to movie tie-ins. Over the years, iconic cars from popular franchises such as Fast & Furious, James Bond, and Ghostbusters have featured in the car football game.

Now, Batman fans can rejoice because the Batmobile from The Batman film is coming to Rocket League this week.

Drive the new Batmobile in Rocket League

To celebrate this week's release of The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, Psyonix has announced that the new Batmobile is coming to Rocket League this week.

Available in Rocket League on 2 March, the new Batmobile is heavily inspired by classic American muscle cars, sharing design cues with the Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger from the 1960s.

In a nod to the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman film, it also features a jet propulsion system with blue flames.

Its stripped-back style is a radical departure from the tank-like Tumbler in The Dark Knight trilogy, but the Caped Crusader's new car looks fittingly sinister. With its flared wings, armoured bodywork, and a front-mounted battering rim, the new Batmobile looks like something out of a Mad Max movie.

The Batman Bundle

Available for 1,100 credits at the Item Shop, the new Batmobile is part of the new Batman Bundle in Rocket League. The bundle includes the following items:

  • Batmobile (2022) Body (Dominus Hitbox)
  • Batmobile (2022) Engine Audio
  • Dark Knight Matte Paint Finish
  • Batmobile (2022) Wheels
  • Batmobile (2022) Boost
  • Batmobile (2022) Trail
  • Reel Life Decal
  • The Batman Goal Explosion

Aside from the Batman Goal Explosion, you can only apply these items to the Batmobile (2022). You also can’t customise the Batmobile (2022) with additional items.

Last year, the 1989 and 2016 Batmobiles came to Rocket League for a limited time in the Halloween Hallows event along with the Tumbler.

Gotham City Rumble LTM

In addition, Psyonix is celebrating the release of The Batman film with a new Limited Time Mode called Gotham City Rumble.

Power-ups work the same as Rumble. In a twist, the power-ups are themed around villains from Batman such as The Joker’s Boxing Glove, Poison Ivy’s Vines, and the Bat-Grapnel.

The Batman Bundle and Gotham City Rumble LTM will be available in Rocket League from 2-8 March.
