Dakar Desert Rally ‘80s Classics trailer reveals bonus Deluxe Edition cars

Dakar Desert Rally is just around the corner. The first official Dakar game in four years, Dakar Desert Rally is set to be an authentic take on the challenging Dakar Rally with a vast open world set in Saudi Arabia, dynamic weather, and a wide variety of vehicles from cars and trucks to quad bikes and SUVs.

As we get closer to release, a new Dakar Desert Rally trailer showcasing two classic Dakar vehicles included in the Deluxe Edition.

The Dakar Desert Rally ‘80s Classics trailer showcases two legendary Dakar vehicles from the ‘80s tearing up the desert: the DAF Truck Turbo-Twin and Ari Ari Vatanen's Peugeot 405 Turbo 16.

Vatanen won the 1989 and 1990 Paris Dakar Rally in his Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 with navigator Bruno Berglund.

Players who pre-order the Dakar Desert Rally Deluxe Edition can access the DAF Truck Turbo-Twin and Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 on day one.

Along with the two classic 80’s Dakar cars, the Deluxe Edition also includes a Season Pass for five DLC packs that will add a new map, more vehicles, and two rally events. The Deluxe Edition will retail for £49.99/$59.99.

Release date

Dakar Desert Rally is out in just over one week on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, with a release date set for 4 October.

With WRC Generations sliding onto PC and consoles a week later on 13 October, October is going to be a great month for off-road racing game fans.
