Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC tracks leak

Following the announcement in February’s Nintendo Direct, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is available today. Nintendo's DLC expansion adds remastered versions of 48 classic tracks from past Mario Kart games to MK8 Deluxe. Impressively, this will bring the total number of tracks in MK8 Deluxe to 98.

So far, Nintendo has only announced eight of the 48 tracks included in the Booster Course Pass. That leaves 40 unnanounced tracks. But thanks to a datamine of the software update, some of these tracks may have been uncovered.  

New tracks leak in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, a datamine of the latest Mario Kart 8 software update by Twitter user OatmealDome has revealed several unannounced tracks from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass in the filenames.

Furthermore, Twitter user Joshua Goldie has found a banner image file for the Booster Course Pass showing several unannounced tracks.

From the datamine, the following tracks may be coming to MK8 Deluxe in future updates:

  • Sydney Sprint (Tour)
  • LA Laps (Tour)
  • Mario Circuit (SNES)
  • Koopa Cape (Wii)
  • Rainbow Road (3DS)
  • Vanilla Lake (SNES)
  • New York Minute (Tour)
  • Maple Treeway (Wii)
  • Sunset Wilds (GBA)
  • Merry Mountain (Tour)
  • Vancouver Velocity (Tour)
  • Shy Guy Bazaar (3DS)
  • DK Summit (Wii)

It’s unclear when these tracks will be released, however.

Nintendo is releasing tracks for the Booster Course Pass in six waves until the end of 2023. Each wave contains eight tracks.

Set on treetops, Maple Treeway from Mario Kart Wii is one of the tracks we were hoping to see added in MK8 Deluxe in the Booster Course Pass.

Wave 1 tracks

Wave 1 of the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass is out now and contains the following eight tracks:

Golden Dash Cup

  • Paris Promenade (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Toad Circuit (Mario Kart 7)
  • Choco Mountain (Mario Kart 64)
  • Coconut Mall (Mario Kart Wii)

The Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass is available for £22.49. Alternatively, it’s included with the Switch Online + Expansion Pack at no extra cost.
