Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave 2 tracks revealed

After rumours suggested an announcement was imminent, Nintendo has finally revealed the tracks and release date for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 2 DLC.

Eight classic Mario Kart tracks return

Wave 2 features eight classic tracks from past Mario Kart games across the NES, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, and WIi as well as the Mario Kart Tour mobile spin-off.

These include old favourites like the DS Waluigi Pinball course that originally debuted Mario Kart DS - one of our most wanted tracks in the Booster Course Pass. As the name suggests, the track has you race around a giant pinball course dodging flippers and bumpers.

There's also a brand new course. Sky-High Sundae is making its Mario Kart debut in the Wave 2 DLC before it arrives in Mario Kart Tour at a later date.

Other fan favourite tracks in Wave 2 include SNES Mario Circuit 3 from the original Mario Kart, Kalimari Desert from Mario Kart 64, and Wii Mushroom Gorge from Mario Kart Wii.

  • Tour New York Minute (Mario Kart Tour)
  • SNES Mario Circuit 3 (Super Mario Kart)
  • N64 Kalimari Desert (Mario Kart 64)
  • DS Waluigi Pinball (Mario Kart DS)

Propeller Cup

Release date

Wave 2 will be available to download on 4 August as part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass, available on the Nintendo eShop for £22.49. Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can also access the Booster Course Pass at no extra cost.
