Rocket Racing is the newest offering from Psyonix, the studio behind Rocket League. Set in the Fortnite ecosystem, Rocket Racing combines chaotic racing and innovative track designs.
By linking your Rocket League account to Fortnite you can take your cars out for a spin in Rocket Racing, but how do you link your Rocket League and Fortnite accounts together?
Race without limits
Rocket Racing is the next evolution of both Rocket League and Fortnite. Combining Rocket League’s limitless car physics with Fortnite’s environment creates a unique racing experience.
Cross-game ownership means players with their Rocket League and Fortnite accounts linked can unlock items in one game to use in another. Cars, decals, wheels, and other accessories will be available in both games, meaning Rocket League cars are driveable in Fortnite via Rocket Racing and Rocket Racing cars in Fortnite will be driveable in Rocket League.
For this to all work, however, your accounts must be linked. So how do you link your Rocket League account to your Fortnite account?
How to link Rocket League to Fortnite
Luckily, it’s incredibly easy to link your Rocket League account to Fortnite. To do so, make sure you are signed in to both games using the same Epic Games account, and all of your items will be available via cross-game ownership.
If you own Rocket League on a different platform, it’s still possible to link your accounts together. As long as you still have an Epic Games account, you can link your Rocket League account to your Epic Games account to play Rocket Racing.
Follow these steps below to link your Rocket League and Epic Games accounts:
- Visit https://www.rocketleague.com/activate
- Click Login and sign in to your Epic Games account.
- Click Check Setup
- Select any additional accounts you want to link to your Epic Games account (Note: Your date of birth must be added to your Epic Games account before you can link platforms or play Rocket League.)
- Select your primary account. This will be the account your levels, ranks, and Rocket Pass progress will be associated with (Note: You can only change your primary platform once every 24 hours.)
- Hit confirm, and you’re ready to race!
Now you can head to your Fortnite Locker and find all your compatible Rocket League cars, decals, and other accessories ready to race in Rocket Racing. At the time of writing, compatible cars include the Octane, Cyclone, Jager 619, or Lamborghini Huracan STO with more coming in the future.
Unlocked cars in Rocket Racing will also be available in Rocket League, with cross-game ownership growing as more updates are released.
