Rocket League February Update: 1.92 patch notes, PS4, Xbox, PC, & Switch

Rocket League's new season is in full swing, but that doesn't mean fresh content and new features aren't on their way.

Psyonix will soon be rolling out a brand new update for Rocket League.

They have even posted a tease of what players can expect with the 1.92 update.

Here's what we know so far!

Release date

Per a blog post by Rocket League themselves, the next patch will be arriving on February 1st, 2021!

"Be on the lookout for the next game update on February 1 at 4 p.m. PST (February 2 at 12 a.m. UTC)."

That's the start of next week!

NFL comes to Rocket League

Included with the update will be the addition of a limited time 4v4 game mode based around the NFL.

With Super Bowl LV happening on Sunday 7 February, Rocket League is getting in on the fun with a unique mode.

The Rocket League ball has been replaced with a football (the American kind). Touching the ball attaches it to the roof of your car.

This applies to all cars, as anyone that touches the ball will then become the carrier. The carrier can only single jump, as double jumping will drop the ball!

Goals are worth 3 points if the ball is passed in or loose, and 7 points if the ball is attached to a player. Like in standard modes, demos require Supersonic speed.

If you cross the line on the Arena wall, you’ll fumble the ball, so stay in bounds!
