Reiza Studios is set to expand Automobilista 2's retro racing roster later this month with a brand-new endurance racing DLC focused on the golden era of the mid-2000s. The upcoming content will introduce both cars and track variants from the 2005 endurance season, alongside key gameplay improvements.
A Return to 2005

The new DLC features two 2005-themed packs, one dedicated to cars and another to two tracks. It brings back some of the most iconic machinery and tracks from endurance racing 20 years ago.
According to Studio Head Renato Simioni, this update is a part of three DLC releases designed to transport Automobilista 2 players into "one of the most memorable eras for Endurance Motorsports."
While a complete track list is still pending, indications suggest vintage iterations of iconic locations like
- Sebring 13 Hours
- Petit Le Mans (Road Atlanta)
- 24 Hours of Le Mans
- 24 Hours of Spa
It will be available in their 2005 layouts, allowing players to relive historic endurance events.
Iconic Cars Joining the Grid
Several GT and LMP entries will headline the DLC. Screenshots and teasers have already revealed a strong lineup of endurance legends:
GT Cars
- BMW M3 GTR
- Porsche 911 (996)
- Dodge Viper GTS-R
- Aston Martin DBR9
- Maserati MC12
- Chevrolet Corvette C5-R
LMP Cars
- Audi R8 (LMP)
- Courage C60 (2004/05-spec)
- Lola B05/40
- (Reported) Dallara SP1 / Chrysler LMP
These additions recreate their fears of manufacturer battles of the mid-2000s, from dominant Audi prototypes to ferocious GT rivalry between Aston Martin, Corvette, and Maserati.
Beyond the Cars and Tracks
The DLC is expected to launch in October, alongside Update 1.6.8. Dispatch will overhaul several core features, including:
- Revised multiplayer functionality
- Improved wheel force feedback
- Updated AI behavior
- Temporal anti-aliasing support
- A refreshed HUD
