Sector3 is teasing a new location coming soon to RaceRoom Racing Experience, inviting players to guess the location.
From the MSV boards and airport located next to the track in the screenshots, it's safe to say that Donington Park is coming to the free-to-play racing simulator in a future update. It will join other UK circuits in RaceRoom such as Brands Hatch and Silverstone.
Donington Park coming soon to RaceRoom
RaceRoom’s recreation of Donington Park is previewed in two images on social media.
One teaser image shows an Audi R8 LMS GT3 pulling out of the pit lane, while the other shows a wide shot of a plane flying over the British racing circuit. Presumably, the Grand Prix and National layouts will be available.
Donington Park is also available in other PC racing simulators like iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
More recently, a laser-scanned version of the British track was also recently added to rFactor 2 to coincide with the arrival of officially-licensed British Touring Car Championship content.
It’s great to see the popular British motor racing circuit represented in more PC sim racers, but you still rarely see Donington Park in console racing games like Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport.
Located in Leicestershire, England, Donington Park first opened in 1931. It was closed in 1939 during World War II before reopening in 1977. Currently, the circuit is the home of the British Touring Car Championship World Superbikes
When will Donington Park be added to RaceRoom?
There’s no release date or pricing information yet, but Sector3 says Donington Park is coming to RaceRoom “very soon.” It will be available to buy from the RaceRoom store
