After the big reveals of Mercedes, Alpine, and Aston Martin earlier this week, we assumed the livery shocks of 2021 were done.
The Haas team unveiled the VF-21 and showed everyone what they'll see in F1 2021.
Haas 2021 livery
The American team took the cover off their VF-21 car today, showing off a new red, white, and blue livery, albeit in a slightly different order than you might think.
The main sponsorship of Uralkali, which comes with their controversial Russian driver Nikita Mazepin, is the dominant force on this car.
With the car now unveiled it's easy to see why Haas stood by Mazepin after his scandal a few months ago. There is only one other sponsor on this car beyond Uralkali, a Russian chemical company that Mazepin's father owns a major stake in.
Driver suits
We are yet to get a glimpse at what the drivers will be wearing this season, but we imagine it will be roughly in the same colour scheme.
Haas' other driver, F2 champion Mick Schumacher, will have a few of his personal sponsors on his threads, we can be sure of that.
New owners coming?
It's no secret that Haas is in some financial difficulties. That can be seen by the lack of sponsors on the car and the reliance on Mazepin's money.
This has lead to speculation of a change in ownership sooner rather than later. Given the look of this year's car it wouldn't be any surprise to see the team turn into Uralkali Racing in 2022.
F1 2021 release date
Fans are going to have to wait before they can go racing around in the Haas F1 car. While the new season gets underway at the end of March, we don’t expect F1 2021 for a while.
Codemasters has targeted a late June/early July release date for the game in recent years. There is nothing to make us think they will get F1 2021 out earlier this time around.
