The Gulf x Williams Racing Bolder Than Bold livery was a breath of fresh air. Bringing back the iconic Gulf livery was a welcome addition to the grid, with the livery available to unlock as part of the Alex Albon F1 23 Pro Challenge. This was a tough challenge to beat, however, with many players falling short.
Thankfully, to commemorate the end of the Gulf x Williams Racing Bolder Than Bold livery after the Qatar Grand Prix, the Albon Pro Challenge is returning to F1 23.
Gulf x Williams livery returns to F1 23
The Alex Albon Pro Challenge tasked players with beating Albon around the Marina Bay Circuit, home of the Singapore Grand Prix. This was a tough challenge, however, with many players struggling to reach the 1:31.711 needed. This meant the majority of players couldn’t unlock the Gulf x Williams Racing Bolder Than Bold livery despite setting respectable lap times.
This livery has been on the Williams cars for the last three races, taking centre stage at the Singapore, Japanese, and Qatar Grand Prix. With such a popular livery unobtainable to most players, it seemed as though we’d end up missing out. Codemasters however have given us one last chance to unlock the Gulf Williams livery.
The challenge is still to beat Albon around Singapore, however, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter), the challenge is now easier for players. At the time of writing, the time to beat is still 1:31.711, so we’re not quite sure how it’s easier.
