Latest news: F1 23 officially revealed!
F1 23 was officially revealed in the first week of May! There were a lot of important announcements, including confirmation of the game's release date.
Braking Point, one of the most popular game modes in F1 2021, is confirmed to be making a very welcome return in F1 23. There's also a revamped handling model, which is very welcome given how unpopular F1 22's was.
F1 Life is going to be changed to F1 World, with more of an emphasis on racing rather than time trial challenges. Red flags, which we haven't seen in the official F1 game since F1 2014 are also set to return for F1 23.
The new Grands Prix circuits in Las Vegas and Qatar are also confirmed to be in F1 23 from launch, despite the former not being raced on yet.
Was the leak correct?
Ahead of the official reveal, we got some juicy F1 23 details, which leaked online towards the end of April. So, how did Insider Gaming do with their report?
Well, the Las Vegas and Qatar circuits being included was correct, as was the return of the Braking Point story mode. There is no real surprise in those being in F1 23, but it's good to see that our source was on the money here.
The reveal of F1 Life being changed to F1 World was also correct, as was the earning of car parts and upgrades through completing objectives. There's no word on that new R&D system yet, though.
F1 23 Xbox
From the get-go, we knew that F1 23 was going to be coming to Xbox and the Xbox Series X | S. Microsoft's home video gaming console is simply too big of a market for EA and Codies to leave out.
Whichever edition of F1 23 you buy for the Series X, you'll have plenty of content to enjoy!
In addition to returning features like Braking Point, there's also F1 World replacing F1 Life and the new car upgrade system where you earn car parts through race wins and achieving team objectives.
As for new tracks, the Las Vegas street circuit and Qatar are going to be available in F1 23. Furthermore, a trio of extra tracks outside the calendar (Shanghai, Paul Ricard and Portimao) will all return in F1 23.
It's good to see these back, as we haven't seen some in real-life since the 2019 Formula 1 season.
F1 23 Xbox release date
The release date for F1 23 has been confirmed to be 16th June, so there's not a lot of time left to wait! This is the case worldwide and for every console F1 23 is going to be released on.
There is a way to play the game early though, and that's the Champions Edition. Purchasing this gives you the option to play F1 23 three days early on 13th June if you pre-order the highest-tier version of F1 23.
F1 23 Xbox price and editions
F1 23 is available to be pre-ordered on the Microsoft Store right now! The standard version comes with the F1 World Starter Pack and 5,000 PitCoins. This version will cost Ā£69.99, or Ā£62.99 for EA Play subscribers.
The Champions Edition of F1 23 is more expensive at Ā£89.99 or Ā£80.99 for EA Play members. You do get a lot more bang for your buck though, including three days of early access for F1 23.

On top of all that, there's an F1 World Bumper Pack and exclusive icons for both My Team and Braking Point.
Will F1 23 come to Game Pass?
Game Pass is the revolutionary way to play games on both Xbox consoles and PC. Microsoft's online system now includes all new and exclusive first-party Xbox games on it from day one of release.
Unfortunately, though, F1 23 isn't a first-party Xbox game, as it's developed by Codemasters and published by EA. There is a discount for those that are EA Play subscribers, though.
F1 23 could be available on Game Pass post-launch, but we don't have any confirmation of this, so it's not likely to happen anytime soon.
What about Xbox One?
F1 22 was released on both next and last-gen systems and that will be the case for F1 23 as well.
Purchasing the digital versions of F1 23 on either Xbox console will allow you to play on the other if you log in to the same Xbox Live account. Therefore, the current and last-gen versions of F1 23 cost the same.
Xbox Series X | S wheels
All racing wheel manufacturers create wheels that are compatible with the Xbox Series X | S.
The Thrustmaster TMX is probably the best option if you are making the move from controller to wheel. Likewise, the Logitech G923 is a good bet as well.
If you have a bit more money to spend, the Fanatec CSL DD is an exceptional wheel that delivers a far superior feel and feedback to the TMX or G923.

We don't have a list of Achievements for F1 23 on Xbox just yet. These often don't change much from year to year though, so looking at F1 22 can give us an idea of what to expect.
